My experimental DJI Spreading Wings S800 (circa 2012)

Back in 2012, I bought a DJI's Spreading Wings S800, the first large professional Hexa-Rotor Platform with integrated Circuits into the center frame. The S800 also incorporated the WooKong-M, an autopilot system designed for multi-rotor drones, providing self-leveling and position hold, and because of its eight rotors, it could also carry/lift a heavy payload. :)

Additionally, the DJI's S800 was also one of the first drone to use GPS for independent balance and hovering. This is why I bought it, because at the time you could hack/Mod the S800, and fly directly to waypoints (by using a Google Maps hack-as an overlay), manipulated the ESC, and reprogram the autopilot functions.

So I experimented until I finally achieved a POC - (Proof Of Concept) that was a simple "click-to-fly to a destination/waypoint" automatically, carry a 2 kilo+ payload, and fly over 1 mile of linear travel. All of this was all revolutionary..., for 2012. :)

So after completing my R&D, I posted the open-source firmware/software online, and sold my Modified s800 to the highest happiest bidder.

That was supposed to be the

"End of Line..."

But a year later, I was informed that either my former prototype s800 or a direct cloned s800 drone

(which contained my Mods/firmware) had crashed after crossing the Mexican border, loaded with drugs... :/

I had not realized my ineptness towards the criminal mind, nor their continual efforts to achieve their personal goals, dreams, and of course profits...

Your "Right to Privacy" under the The Bill of Rights, which refers to the concept that one's personal information is protected from public scrutiny, is constantly violated by Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc.; they all abuse your trust, by collecting "private information" in the race to exploit your personal information/habits for money and profits.

This is a sad Fact! :(
